As I write this, our third annual preaching conference is just over a month away! So, we are busy finalizing schedules, booking housing, making reservations, so that everything runs smoothly.

We are excited to welcome back our 24 current emerging preachers who will complete the program at the end of this calendar year. In addition to lots of in-person fellowship and attending our lectures on preaching and worship by our keynote lecture, the Rev. Dr. Catherine Williams, these preachers will participate in workshops on using the Book of Confessions, Preaching the Parables, Using Technology (with attention to AI), Preaching on Justice Issues, and Identifying and Responding to Congregational Resistances.
And we are excited to welcome a new, third group of emerging preachers into the program. At the conference, these participants will meet their mentors and fellow cohort leaders, attend Rev. Dr. Williams’s lectures, and participate in workshops on topics such as: An Overview of the Bible, The Basics of Reformed Theology, The Basics of Public Speaking, and together with the returning group, Spiritual Practices for Preachers.
While the conference is only a month away, there is still time to apply and we have plenty of open slots!
If you or someone you know is discerning a call to preach, you can read more about the program here, or you can contact the CGPI director, Matt Aragon Bruce, with any questions.
