Our Synod wants to invite our Black leaders in the state of Michigan to a time away to

renew, refresh, and fellowship. Over the years, the leaders of our African American

churches have served with imagination, creativity, and determination. The Synod

recognizes the need to come together, recharge batteries, and engage in relentless

community with one another. If you are a leader in your congregation, pastor, serving on

session, ruling elder, or deacon, we invite you to consider joining us for two days in

Detroit, MI, on Friday, September 11 to Saturday, September 12. We have capacity to

host a maximum of 20 leaders. The registration cost is $50 per person. We will gather at

St. Paul of the Cross Passionist Retreat Center in Detroit, MI. We will begin at 1:00 p.m.

on Friday and end at the same time on Saturday. Ongoing updates will be shared on the

Synod’s website and Facebook page. We look forward to hosting you and be nourished

by the movement of the Spirit and fellowship of our siblings in Christ. For more
