  • Minority persons
  • Members of a Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) congregation within the bounds of the Synod of the Covenant
  • In good academic standing

Synod New Covenant Grants

One-time grants in amounts up to $10,000 are available to congregations, institutions and organizations within the bounds of the synod that have formal established ties to the synod. Projects must fit within the three mission priorities of the synod:

  • Church Transformation and Development
  • Multicultural and Justice Ministries
  • Ministries in Higher Education

New Covenant Grants Instructions & Application

Synod Peacemaking Grants

For presbyteries within the bounds of the  Synod of the Covenant, PC(USA) who wish to sponsor a special peacemaking program or event

Source of Funds: Annual Peacemaking Offering

Guidelines:

  • Application may be completed by anyone, but Presbytery Staff must sign and submit
  • The amount of the grant may be negotiated when the application is made
  • The amount of the award may be different than the grant amount requested

Peacemaking Scholarships

For adults and young adults who are . . .

  • Members of a Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) congregation within the bounds of the Synod of the Covenant
  • In need of financial support

. . . and wish to attend a peacemaking conference, seminar or other event.

Source of Funds: Annual Peacemaking Offering

Guidelines

  • The scholarship must be used to attend a Peacemaking Event or Peacemaking Activity
  • Application must be made 60 days before the event is to be held
  • A written summary of the learning experience from the Peacemaking Event will be required and may be used on the Synod's website and/or publications at the discretion of the Committee
  • Those who receive Peacemaking Scholarships may be requested to share what they have learned and experienced at a future Synod Assembly and/or share with other groups within the Synod.
  • Maximum award is $500
