NEW COVENANT GRANTS
The Synod of the Covenant has awarded $75,000 to 10 ministries as part of its New Covenant grant program. New Covenant grants are funded from shared mission dollars received from presbyteries, who receive the money from congregations. Read more about New Covenant Grant Recipients.

Congratulations to the congregations in our synod who received Mission Development grants from PC(USA)! The Mission Development Resources Committee (MDRC) recently awarded more than $1.1 million in grant money to 16 church-related projects across the United States. The short-term start-up funds will enable congregations, presbyteries and synods to organize new churches, transform existing congregations or develop church-based community outreach programs. In Synod of the Covenant:

  • Monte Sinai Hispanic Fellowship New Church Development, Sandusky, Ohio, Maumee Valley Presbytery, a $100,000 grant to help this growing faith community develop into a church with good resources and to offer a spiritual home to Hispanic immigrants across north central Ohio.
  • Southfield Presbyterian Church Multicultural Leadership Congregational Transformation, Southfield, Mich., Detroit Presbytery, a $50,000 grant for outreach to the community in an effort to become a truly multicultural congregation where no racial-ethnic group is predominant.
